This my first album of midi loop based music. It's my attempt at, I guess, house music? Techno? I don't know what it all means. It's my version of EDM.
What I do is take mundane ideas, like the squeak of my van belt, or the train tracks, or for instance track one is based on the rhythm that my breath and my steps make when I'm jogging.
I then stick these loops into midi and plug into different sounds, seeing whats cool, jamming, getting lost, getting out, letting go.
Then I jam these loops thru a machine, kinda like jazz.
I then lightly edit these jams, stick em thru some boxes, just trying shit, til it's done. It's done. Today.
I'd like to keep making this kind of music, and will, but I think my next midi record is pry gonna be raw, broken loops, way more abstract, unlistenable. Looking forward.
